Submit your application for Phase 1
Deadline: 12th of May 2024
In case of individual participation, fill in all the mandatory fields and ensure your participation in Phase 1 of the Program. In case of group participation (2-5 people), the representative of the group (and only he/she) is invited to register for the whole group. Other members do not need to register separately on the platform. Don't miss out the Info Day before applying to learn more about the Program.

Attend Phase 1: Ideation & Regional Innovation Competition

Support: Receive services for startup creation worth up to 30.000€

Certificate of Attendance: Complete the program and receive a digital certificate of attendance from one of the most impactful European initiatives for green innovation.

Mentoring: An experienced Mentor will guide your team’s progress, support you in shaping your innovative idea, and transform it into a commercially viable product/service.

Connect: Meet industry representatives and successful entrepreneurs and mentors, listen, and share new ideas.

Education: Get access to Bootcamp Trainings, startup development material, and tools.

Proceed in Phase 2: Incubation & Interregional Innovation Competition
The best five teams coming by each Regional Innovation Competition will proceed in Phase 2 to be incubated and get prepared for the Interregional Innovation Competition.

If you want to attend Phase 2, you have first to compete in Phase 1 of GAEA.

Proceed in Phase 3: Acceleration & Startup Establishment
The best five teams of the Intrerregional Pitching Competition will proceed in establishing their startup while also developing their Proof-of-Concept (PoC) with a leading industry and making their first sales. Dedicated support on go-to-market strategy, business operations and strategy planning, accounting and legal matters as well as networking with investors will be provided to support their first steps as entrepreneurs.

If you want to attend Phase 3, you have first to compete in Phase 1 of GAEA.

Whether you have an innovative idea or not you can apply and during Phase 1 we will support you in identifying your startup concept.

You can attend your country’s virtual Info Day (early April/2024) by registering via the ‘Eventbrite’ link.

If you can’t join or you’ve missed it, you can also contact us via the Contact Form of the program.

As the Interregional Challenge is the 2nd Phase of GAEA, you should first apply to Phase 1 of GAEA via the program platform.

Firm visits will be provided to each country’s Innovation Competition finalists as an additional award (it is not mandatory).

So make sure to apply for Phase 1 of GAEA and earn your spot in the Firm Visits.

GAEA is a comprehensive Open Innovation Program designed for innovators and idea holders eager to generate or refine an innovative concept into a startup.

This means whether you have an innovative idea or not and whether you have already a team or not, GAEA is a Program for you.

We could define (but not restrict):

  • Individuals from Business, Finance, Marketing, Technology, and Engineering academic sectors studying or recently graduated from any European University
  • Researchers and/or Ph.D. students in any relevant to the Innovation Areas science fields from any European University
  • Other individuals interested in teaming up with the above-mentioned categories
